What is the food that you HAVE TO try in Slovakia?
Modra is an important wine producing region in Slovakia, very close to the capital of Slovakia-Bratislava. But it was a little bit complicated to achieve there. We took a train, changed to a bus, then took a taxi. Even it was very hard, I still felt lucky that we finally arrived ELESKO, one of the most modern wineries in Central Europe.
Slovakia is one of the countries which own most castles in Europe. Almost every city has a castle! Most of them are built on the top of a city, which means you can have a great view from the castles. I’ve visited lots of castles in this trip of Slovakia. Here are the three top castles that you shouldn’t miss if you travel to Slovakia.
◎ Castle in Slovakian – Hrad
Nitra is the forth largest city in Slovakia, situated on the west, Nitra has a warmer climate, and therefore offers a nice environment to cultivate grapes.
This autumn, I was very lucky to experience grape-harvesting in Nitra with my friend, Maria. We spent a great and lovely time with her family, also enjoyed a great meal together. Thank you Maria. 🙂
